    HF, they are not necessarily "news reporters". No, the news isn't supposed to fund it but that's why they are 60 min. They often buy stories and they often bid and pay for the rights to stories eg. Channel 7 & 60 min bidding war for Schapelle Corby. These "shows" will pay to reunite people, will pay for someone to travel halfway around the world So that they can Confront their sexual abuser or the person who killed their loved one. I am sure the morcombes got paid for their story. All of these types of programs pay for a story, not necessarily the news which we watch at 6pm week nights,
