He probably doesn't own it and has a huge loan. I know some guys who have to pay $100,000 a month to service their loans. It's ludicrous. How ridiculous is it to have 6+ bathrooms in a "house". The only reason why people pump so much money into their homes is to be exempt from the capital gains tax. The ATO has a lot to answer for. The system is stuffed.
