I have seen both stories, 60mins concentrated solely on govt bashing (how surprising). Kerrepei, as a farmer in the industry what are your thoughts on the actions/inactions of the MLA and their part in this problem ? As i understand it the MLA has been taking farmers $$$$ for years under the guise of ensuring that what we all saw in the 4 corners report would never happen. Self regulation appears to have failed miserably here ! It seemed clear from the 60mins article that all farmers were distressed and disgusted in what they saw on 4 corners, as we all were. I am sure that the Govt could have handled the situation better but they should never have been put in this situation in the 1st place and nor should the farmers. It seems to me that the MLA could have and should have used those funds in a far more effective manner than they did.
