    UPDATE ON COMMERCIALISATION
Last week at Langkawi, the Company completed all of the formal contractually required
Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP’s) needed prior to handover. Since then, the
Company has been ensuring that the system integrates smoothly with the overall
National operating procedures used in Malaysia.
Since completion of the ATP’s, the customer has requested additional features
including the ability to have the Cape Range system send an SMS message to the
relevant Telekom engineer in the case of a critical failure. To satisfy this request, the
Company worked with relevant engineering groups, to configure the software and to
then introduce a requested fault. The Company was then able to demonstrate that the
system reported the fault as designed.
There are many similar capabilities built into the Cape Range system that were
integrated by Telekom departments so as to ensure that proprietary Telekom operating
procedures were updated for operating and localizing faults in the network and to
ensure that the customer is able to take full advantage of the features of the Cape
    Range system.
Meanwhile, commercial documentation required to schedule the delivery of Cape Range
Wireless equipment over the rest of this year is being prepared by the customer. This
will be used by the Company to schedule production and the purchase of components
so as to be able to fulfill purchase orders for equipment valued at US$8 million. These
installations will replace existing equipment from another manufacturer where the site
    has previously been surveyed.
Now that all of the ATP requirements have been completed on Langkawi, meetings have
been scheduled to proceed with paid trials as part of additional contracts in Malaysia.
The exhaustive testing procedures conducted on Langkawi will not have to be repeated
as the equipment is already approved for installation in a network. Only site-specific
testing will be required. These new contracts will be for green-field sites where no
current service is available. Equipment required for these trials is currently being
    manufactured.
CommunicAsia launches today and marks two milestones:
Firstly, with reference sites in Malaysia finally available, the focus of marketing expands
to complete contracts that we have been developing over the past two years in countries
outside of Malaysia. Our presence at CommunicAsia will also allow the Company to
initiate additional markets in countries in line with our longstanding marketing plans.
The Cape Range Wireless Arcadian product has now matured into a full multi-service
platform for fixed line operators. For national telephone companies operating in a
regulatory environment of convergent services, this provides the capability to offer a
variety of required services, using a single platform. This platform is the Arcadian
Communications System. At CommunicAsia, Cape Range Wireless will show voice,
