the IEA and CSIRO both use the $8Bn USD per unit as the lowest cost nuclear build price. there are other sites that estimate much higher and still more news that cost blowouts and delays mean much more added cost.
if the Dutton announcement had included costs and modelling to explain the cost including production and waste management, they might have made it credible. instead we are left with no such info from the Dud and so we must use international rates.
