Not necessarily - I don't always agree with you - one of many it seems.
I haven't got a problem with Made in Australia - you just have to pick your mark.
Solar panels is not one of the industries we can compete with China - for a number of reasons.
We do have many other industries where we should try and ''make it in Australia'' starting with the basics like steel.
WE have the best iron ore, nickel and coking coal and what do we do with it? - send it all overseas and import the steel back.
Gold is another area we should concentrate on - last year we produced 300 tonnes of gold, which at $114,000,000 per ton would be a significant contribution to any budget - but how much of it stay in OZ?
We have polititicans who can't see past the next election that's why we have slogans and promises but very little substance.
Luckily the have an army of consultants/lobbyists who make the important decisions for them
How else would we end up with useless expensive nuclear subs instead of nuclear power plants
