The latest top 20 as at 31 Dec 07 is a bit of an explanation, but also NOT, as it doesn't take into acct the sp movement and heavy selling in Jan 08 (initiated on 'Black Tuesday').
HSBC and Citicorp have been the big sellers (-5.31% 53m and -3.22% 32.2m respectively), but others have taken up the slack...ANZ Nom +3.19% 31.9m, JP Morgan +2.95% 29.5m, National Nom +2.41% 24.1m and Merrill Lynch +1.42% 14.2m, are the main ones.
Interestingly, the % held by the top 20 is now .44% (4.1m) more than back at 30 Sept 07!
It is also interesting to see the Oppenheimers have taken a 6.11% stake (unless I missed them previously).
I guess we'll just have to wait for the next top 20 to see what Jan 08 was all about, or maybe we'll see some COH notices. Anyway, by the time the next top 20 issues, the sp may be SOOOO GOOD we just won't care!
