Yes Australia has had many immigrants over the years however the Muslims are a totally different type of migrant.
Their religion is central to everything they do so unless future generations of Muslims take a relaxed view to their core beliefs like many Christians in this country Australia as we know it won't exist in the years to come.
As for every country being Multicultural for wars to cease I doubt that as there will always be groups of people who will want to break away from mainstream beliefs.
Then again maybe multiculturalism is a prelude towards a push for a one world global Government.
