Going forward, I hope management puts customers and the CBA brand before shareholders. That is, I hope management put ethics and PC culture ahead of short term profit.
You are talking at cross purposes: focusing on customers, ethics and culture is mutually inclusive with shareholder value creation.
It isn't a case of putting Brand or Shareholders first.
Shareholder outcomes are correlated with brand, culture, ethics, governance, stewardship, etc..
