The variability of flow rates from 4,900+ to 0 in the north shows how difficult the calculation will be. The amount of cracking in the volcanics, the porosity and closeness to water level are all important.
I've made resonably accurate predictions in sandstone of known thickness but wouldn't even attempt a guess in this environment. I know that it is much too early to say that it's the biggest field in Thailand just because it has the biggest flow rate.
It would be as logical to claim it is equal smallest based on the northern flow rate .
Let's not get too sensationalist.
I think it does have a chance of becoming the biggest producing area in Thailand. We will only find this out after several other structures are drilled in 2008.I'm looking forward to Wichian Bari deep (should be flow tested by new year) and Bo Rang deep, in particular. Even then their is a large area to be drilled.
