If the world goes to crap, Semafo's 65c cash bid is legally binding if shareholders choose to accept it. The offer is a nice backstop to have, offering a 30% arbitrage return. My feeling is that the in-country producers in Africa will pick off Orbis, knowing that shareholders could accept the bid.
