Hard to say, one possibility is they need to aggregate more volumes to get a commercial amount. Although doing a DST indecates the results weren't disappointing.
Alternatively, maybe they want to clearly separate big discoveries from smaller? Or a reminder that there is a level between ASX announcement and saying nothing, clearly showing where unannounced things like FAN South-1 sit.
Could be other reasons also, just my guesses.
