Let's be clear if you're not one of the few that live in the past and you've been following Newsat say 2009 you could have doubled your money.

There is no argument that NWT management have made mistakes and like many boards you could say they mislead investors too, for one the good times (now) are 3 years late.

I never doubted the business model, I've started a few businesses myself and had building done, I know whatever they say you should at lest double to be safe. I took the same view with Newsat and while some gave up, I kept buying for just times like this.

The only way you can sleep with this risky course of action is to be sure you believe the long term goals are possible.


In a nut shell this is my bible:

1. The key to investing is found in this rule: buy a share as though you were buying the whole company.

To do that, you have to know what the enterprise is worth. Therefore, the investor should live in the world of companies, never of mathematical formulae.
