Slogger - you make it sound like short selling a stock is an illegal practice. It's not. It's a method of "trading" to make money rather than "investing".
It can be concerning to watch as a holder (long or short term) as they usually seem to move in on bad news and add more downward momentum to the SP.
I'm a holder of BKN and they gave that a good work out over the last month or so. Just got to ride it out if you believe that the fundamentals behind the company are good.
