TFC recently purchased a trial plantation up in the Ord from the Forest Products Commission (within the last 2 months). This particular trial had trees generally around the 18 year old mark and was one of the first in the region. A number of these trees were felled and sold at auction. The timber realised an auction price of $7000/t. No core results and indicative oil yields were released to market. $7000/t is far less than the US$80,000/t TFC continue to build investor expections around. And these 18 year old trees are older than the tree age forecast to be harvested out of TFC's orchards.
Can't believe the lack of critical analysis on the production model here given the failure of peers around it. All it took was a phonecall to someone in the sandalwood industry to find this information out. So much for the so called stockbroker analysis that has bulled the stock up. Still maintain this will end in tears ...
