In 1969 I worked for a period at the Sydney stock exchange and I recall there was a listed company Antimony Nickel quoted at 20c and perceived to be over valued at the time. It became a target of serious shorting so aquaintances of that co put in a permanent buy at that quotation. Those days script was due within 30 days and as that date approached shorter panic set in quickly resulting in a sp over a dollar. Food for thought?
