I heard similar stories from working class folk in UK before the Brexit vote.....had trained and worked as tradesmen then found themselves laid off.......shortly after the same company that laid them off hired workers from Poland to do the same job but for lower wages.
And people wonder why the like of Farage, Hanson & Trump are gaining in popularity.
