Just saw the 7:30 report on rio and bhp. don argus goes in the next few weeks. he very much opposed the merger. marius kloppers was sold on it and still sees the merit in it. it left the message that the merger will happened sooner than later. the report seemed to say a merger should have happened back in 2002. it would have been a win/win situation for shareholders and the australian economy.
