My interpretation was thus (my words):
Federal Transport Minister, John Anderson, implements his conservative government's latest instalment of ruthless and nationally destructive free-trade in services experiments by ...
A.
Opening Qantas dominated pacific and international air routes to competition from Singapore Airlines and Emirates ....
The consequence? Qantas SHAREHOLDERS get shafted.
( 50% of QAN shareholders must be Australian or Australian entities under Cth foreign ownership laws)
(2) Anderson PUBLICLY ENDORSES the outsourcing of Qantas jobs to overseas workers ....
Consequence ... Australian WORKERS (present and future) and are shafted.
Now just who is this government elected to "represent" again? In this case, both sides of the idealogical divide are being disadvantaged, Australians across the board.
Make no mistake, this mob in power are unashamedly global elitists, first and foremost, and Australian citizens second.
They will put foreign shareholders/other global elitist individuals (who they consider their equals and bretheren) ahead of you and I, and their own country's future.
The flipside is you may get a flight to Los Angeles $50 cheaper ... forgive me while I take a little break to contain my enthusiasm on that, and the overwhelming sense of gratitude that I feel ... it's never too late you know !
