Coal is a dirty word in Australia, but it's undeniable that we'll see it's growth in other countries because of how cheap it is. Plenty of people knocking the clean coal, but the only 2nd and 3rd world countries will get power any time soon is with it.
Renewables are fine in a country with reliable security and relatively poverty free, but the reality is these countries will end up better off with coal until they can sort out their issues(otherwise they'll end up smashed and scrapped for the metal, a single power station is easier to protect)
