Not sure about shorters going away, I called for the last Debt Repayment a couple of days beforehand too. At the time Baukaw was saying unless I have inside info I shouldn‘d say Debt Repayment is coming. It wasn‘t hard to calculate how much Cash FMG has at the time so I called for Debt Repayment.
This time I think FMG will make a statement with US$1B Debt repayment. Currently FMG should have US$2B in the bank. If IO price stay around current level, give them 2 more weeks or so, then we‘ll see US$1B debt repayment.
One of the best indicator for how well the company is going at the moment is when AF loaded up the shares at price of $5.26 when SP was heading back from 5.50 to $5. I‘m sure SP wouldn‘d be here today if AF didn‘t buy those shares.
