Sandys, imo you have an unrealistic view of the availability/leadtimes for workover or drilling rigs. The company announced on June 19th that the forward plan involved getting a workover rig onsite. Mid July is 4 weeks from June 19th, and 4 weeks is not an unreasonable leadtime for a piece of machinery like a workover rig.

Maybe we should have a workover rig on permanent standby? But then again someone will complain the company is wasting valuable capital leasing a workover rig that is standing idle most of the time.

How many O&G companies announce to the market the movement and timing of every drilling rig, workover rig, coiled tubing unit and portaloo that they use? None. Samson reports project actions in more detail than most, and has been providing weekly or fortnightly operations updates now for well over 6 months.

Mid July is 2 weeks from now. Thats good enough guidance for me.
