That wouldn't work at all. The merger hasn't gone ahead yet, and it might not. They can only trade as separate companies until it does, and you can't have trading suspended in banks for the many months it will take to complete the prcoess. Anyway, there's no reason they shouldn't trade. The terms are known to all players.
