The problem with your last line in your post is that the energy debate has descended into a political debate of the highest order. All governments over the last 20 years have done a shambolic job on the energy debate and how we get off fossil fuels. Transition planning has been very poor. Many stakeholders have been ignored. Now everybody is shouting “I have the best spreadsheet therefore I must be correct”.
One thing is for sure, everybody is talking about Dutton. Dutton this, Dutton that. Dutton has become the flavour of the month and the enemy of the renewable brigade in one fell swoop. What do they say? The only bad publicity is no publicity.
Who knows where this will end, law of unintended consequences etc.
And the sheep impact you mentioned is real. I saw a segment on the ABC and the sheep farmer was very happy with the interaction between sheep and solar panel arrays.
