Honestly, only the most gullible could see this as serious policy.
The idea that we can use 6GW of nuclear to replace 22GW of ailing coal plants means they haven't done basic arithmetic.
The late substitution of SMRs into WA and SA says to me that some LNP staffer saw someone's tweet that WA and SA grids can't handle a 1GW nuke plant this morning and panicked.
The complete lack of costing speaks volumes.
What a joke - if only we had a real opposition in this country proposing real alternatives.
