I agree with siting gas plants on former coal sites. they're doing that in my valley.
transmission lines though are the result of poor planning and inadequate attention to their promises by the former govt. its now a necessary repair cost to fix the Lib mess. and as for Snowy 2.0 the $10Bn cost blowout occurred under Taylor's mismanagement. another burning expense that the Lib Govt cost we taxpayers.
should Snowy 2 be abandoned? just write off the cost as a waste of time and effort? we need to ensure there is adequate 24/7 energy supply, Snowy 2 is the mainstay for our baseload energy needs and we need more of these..... but lets get the private sector to build, operate and maintain such important infrastructure.
