Qld and NSW said early this morning they wouldn't be changing their stance on the nuclear ban.
many councils also have "nuclear free" status. the Libs will have a hard battle to get states onboard to change the laws.
first thing they need to do is have a solid information campaign followed by a plebiscite (not a referendum as its not a constitutional matter). they could then take it to the states with a rational and well documented support for changing the laws.
would they do this? have they the nous to engineer an information campaign? I doubt it.
