    Old mate, you missed a couple of critical points here. The most obvious is the fact that a nuclear power station will still be in operation in 60-80 years time but the batteries they would supply, will need to be replaced every 5 years.
    Also charging and discharging costs approx 20% every round trip so they need to be at minimum 25% bigger (more expensive than they let on.
    Also because twice (in the autumn and spring a year we get 5-8 consecutive days without sun, you need a battery 5-8 times bigger than you think you would. They dont stack up in main stream like everyone thinks they will.
    As a matter of interest I have been living totally off grid from mainstream power for over 30 years running a well equipped workshop maintaining some heavy equipment and am happy to answer to answer any questions you might have.
