Agree with @bedger that rising interest rates will negatively affect the insurance industry as a whole.
As interest rates go up, consumers will have less disposable cash. Once this occurs consumers will cut back on discretionary spending.
Whilst I personally see insurance as an essential product; unfortunately a lot of consumers will take the risk and let their insurance policies lapse in order to make ends meet.
Flow on effect there will be a lot of lapsed insurance policies which aren’t renewed.
