My guess, Housing bubble has made every other sector miserable. Retailers seems are in big trouble (recent sp of myer and dsh, mts and others ). Stock market action in retail sector predicting very miserable condition for retailers in next six month. People after servicing 5 to7 hundred debt , not have much to spend on shops. now, Housing not considered for living, it is a money making product. In next 12months, affect of reduce spending would appear in retail and service sector as both depend on spending power of peoples which already reduced after servicing debt. After mining jobs disappearing, and with job losses in retail and service sector would ultimately kill housing bubble.

Above only my opinion. Could be worse , could be best.
