    This argument is basically garbage. it's proven NG does not increase the supply of new housing (ie new construction). NG needs to go, but only on established properties. If a developer is erecting a new building NG is fair enough, as is an individual investor who is building a NEW home on an empty lot. However NG on all properties and our CGT regime has done nothing but drive the price of existing properties skyward., having the opposite of it's intended effect. Unfortunately we are in so deep, no politician would ever risk pulling the rug out.
