I'm looking for help in trying to define FMG's direct shipping ore number. The channel iron deposit is stated to be as much as 4.5 billion tonnes with 1.1 billion tonne already indentified. The best I can do is place a figure of around 700 million tonne of DSO(putting future exploration in mind), placing a Fe of 56% on the tonnage. If this is around the figure,and FMG ramp-up production to atleast 100 million tonnes a year, FMG will have a mine life of 7 years. Apart from prehaps JV's or the like from neighbouring mines how will FMG lenghten mine life? Or is my DSO way out. Any helpful figures would be good...Thanks in advance.
