it has not worked as the population is still susceptible keeping the population away from the covid is not possible the virus will do what viruses do And reformat the population demographic and then when most have some immunity it will go away it will take its toll as it is doing in other countries we are naive to think we can beat it as we all know a vaccine will help but is not certain we have had influenza vaccines for years and it mutates in response so we have many cases and deaths from influenza anyway we tolerate that as we do road deaths yet we now are intolerant of covid deaths to the point the economy is shut down if we had given the same publicity to influenza infections and deaths last year would the economy have been shut down?
I agree that the diabolical ease of covid transmission is the issue the cost of minimising that is disastrous we don't live in a risk free paradise politicians have to find a way to balance risk and the economy you can't have zero risk as that causes a zero economy.
i hope Chairman Dan's new gambit pays off maybe he has Victorians so scared that they won't rebel.
