Qenos which employs 700 staff at its Altona petrochemical complex in Melbourne has gone into administration and more than likely to be closed permanently. It’s similar operation in Botany NSW has already ceased operation.

The major cause of the closure is the increasing gas price in Victoria from shrinking supplies caused by a lack of gas exploration banned by Andrews.

700 high paying manufacturing jobs lost. It was the only manufacturer in Australia of its products. These all now need to be imported. That will certainly be at a higher cost and also put more pressure on supply chains as reliance on overseas supply increases.

There are so many wrong decisions made by Andrews coming home to roost. The bloke was a one man destroyer of the once great state of Victoria. Allan is just as bad.

Vote Labor out and save Victoria.
