Agreed, re: the price being linked to mining activity.
I don't know about other commodities, but with respect to iron ore operations the mines are either producing or they're not and there is a long, long way to go before the likes of BHP, FMG, RIO start closing mines given they are amongst the lowest cost producers in the world. Keep in mind that these three producers are currently in the process of designing/constructing large new mines and there's going to be lots of people movement this year and next. I can't see any other option, but to keep flying these workers in and out.
