I wouldn't worry too much about the absolute total volume between bid/ask. One thing I take note of is the bid volume size close to the current price. In this case, the bids from 0.665+ would indicate to me some pent up demand. While on the ask side, volume seems lighter close to the current price but a fair chuck of sellers around 0.73. It would take quite some buyers demand to push through 0.73

One thing you dont know about the bid/ask volumes are brokers using algorithm trading systems or dark pools which hits the bid/ask when prices move or based on a strategy. If a client has a large order and want to work the order throughout the day without impacting the price, they could hit the bid/ask every couple of minutes without showing their intention. They can set limits on sell/buy orders, i.e. dont sell below price xyz or buy over price abc. You will never know as it's not shown on the volume screen.
