The toxicity of that sort of stuff wasn't a concern!

We did a freaky thing by running on the weed mats growing over ponds.
If you ran fast enough you wouldn't sink too far, but things like snakes kept us running super fast!

The thought of crocs also kept us on our toes.

Another fun thing was fishing is clear waterholes during the dry season.
You could see the fish circling the bait and how they struggled when hooked.
