SEMAFO got over the line by increasing their bid by 10%, while at the same time receiving a 10%+ currency windfall. These guys are doing it tough. My heart really bleeds for them.
So, on market there are 8 bids at total of $7 million at 0.705 and 10 bids to sell for 0.710 at a total of $600k. The sellers have a myriad of reasons to get hold of some quick cash, but who exactly lays down $1 million on a spec punt in the ass-end of Africa? Would these guys be looking to skim a small percentage in a small time frame, or is there a real possibility another company can make a bid for OBS at this point? I guess a price has been set and the price only seems to get cheaper every day in $USD
