M. The goals are,

Complete demonstration 1MW pilot plant by Dec this year.
Build first 50 MW module by mid 2011.
Add 9 x 50 MW modules by end 2015 to make a 500 MW ('first project') facility. Requires phrenetic nonstop drilling of 90 wells by a platoon of rigs.

The later project is to get into the really big stuff of 5000 MW ~10% of Australia's consumption. The tenements will look like a pincushion.

G. It was old footage that we had seen before, but someone may have tipped off the journalists that something is about to happen in the Cooper Basin. Garnaut will have to appear to be objective and favour only principles and not companies. (But there is only one company of significance at present!) You are right Dartboard, changing light globes is trivial compared to changing energy generating paradigms.
