Strong director buying is usually a very good sign, and John Terpu's interests now amount to about 25% of the GSN shares on issue. Years ago I held shares in Conquest Mining,which John founded, and the Mt. Carlton story under Conquest and Evolution made a lot of money for a lot of shareholders.

I'm pleased to see GSN having an interest in the Mt Carlton area with its Edinburgh Park project, but I think that Duketon might end up wearing the golden crown in their projects.

For the past year or so, I've been building up a small portfolio of exploration stocks, which I think might end up doing a lot better than some of my established producers. GSN's projects were the catalyst which initially attracted me to this company, and the director-buying has strengthened my confidence in the company.

The next few years are going to be challenging for mining investment, but I believe that there will be a lot of money to be made from picking the right smallcap explorers, and I believe that GSN will be one of the winners.
