Also have seen people in the West, live like idiots, accumulating way beyond what is necessary and what is healthy, and they are no happier for it. Meanwhile in the East, they suck up our cheesy media and create their own even more revoltingly shallow siren's call to accumulate and show off.
In the 3rd world countries and in the under-class societies who have been screwed, people get polarised and organised, ready to be used again in another destructive and wasteful wealth/power transfer.
In a world of waste, lies, empty accumulation, with broken reward and punishment feedback loops. Anything that is real will shine.
Low cost producers, will have their day. But Permaculture Gardens are the best investment. Could even present some beautiful solutions if community owned.
