I still maintain that everyone in Aus will be astonished at how quickly the Chinese stop buying our "stuff".
It takes way more iron, aluminium, copper, etc. to build your basic infrastructure, than it does to maintain it and churn out manufactured product.
IMO, the Chinese have over-built, duplicated, etc. in a chaotic and largely unplanned manner.
They have recently discovered that stock markets go down, as well as up. One day very soon, they will also discover that capitalism isn't as simple as building 150 factories, spitting out the same products.
My prediction? By the end of this year, news pictures of ships parked outside over-taxed Australian ports will be replaced with pictures of clear, uninhabited ocean.
