There are many reason for that one of which i think is to supress the SP from uptrend mainly for accumulation. Some big players can see the potential and fill in their bags before the SP takes off. Unfortunately, retailers always assume that if there is huge lines of sell orders, that implies that people are exiting the door causing havoc for retailers to sell with either small profit or even loss.
