Return the cash to shareholders or buy back some shares with it or do anything else that will stop you from whittling away the last remnants of shareholder funds on your dry cleaning bills and buffet breakfasts. And quit sucking off the taxpayer. It is embarrassing and morally corrupt to be receiving R&D payments for stuff you’ve now parked indefinitely or effectively offloaded to somebody else to commercialize. When R&D grants become material transactions then you are the corporate equivalent of a Centrelink beneficiary.
