The DRP continues to be available to Australian residenrts only. This despite the Australia - New Zealand CER investment protocol of 1983. The Investment Protocol ensures that New Zealand investors receive the most advantageous treatment offered to any foreign investors in Australia, and vice versa. NZ share holders are disadvantaged due to banks clipping the ticket on exchange rates and it takes 20 working days for an Aussie dividend payment to be cleared.
The fault is mine I didn't read ILU's DRP rules before investing. I assumed that a shareholder focussed management would comply with CER. I was mistaken. I have emailed the Board but got no reply. (No surprise)
Coincidently ILU is the worst performing share in my portfolio and I'm down the gurgler so far that selling isn't worth the energy.
