superk, you are not the trustee if you hold units in a trust. you are the beneficiary. the trustee is the entity/person enTRUSTed with the legal ownership/operation of the assets, however they are not entitled to the benefits of said assets. this is where beneficial holders come in, ie unit holders.
im really not the best person to be getting advice from on this issue, recommend you have a yarn with your accountant.
