Wonder if we hit .019 cents by Thursday.
I really dont think BHP are going to be very interested in pushing any exploration for the sake of shareholders doing their loot in a zinc pot specky. This deal is small fry to them and if they wait long enough it will be on its knees anyway.
Scott will battern down the hatches and not make any move until the market turns which will be 2010 at earliest. Unfortunately by then most of the funds will have chewed up on care and maintenace at Perkoa and court fees. He will now do as he is told by BHP.
Not a bad job actually. No pressure thats all gone, There's rock all to do. Pay a few gardeners at Perkoa, take an odd trip over there, have a chat with the locals, back here for a few meetings with the lawyers, have a chat with BHP from time to time, wait for drilling and test resutlts, Check the shareholders funds and bank account to make sure everybody is getting paid OK. Arrange spin with the consultant. Sit back and wait for the market to change, I cant do anything and why should I> Pick up $250,000 per annum and keep your nose clean.
There will literally be no one left with any drive as the board is window dressing and the companies time will now be spent in meetings organising a court case against Flory.
Thursday will be pure window dressing, introducing Scott, statements on what a wise decision it was to shut down Perkoa and spend $35m on maintenance. Also over the next whenever, announcements will be made on any findings at Mumbwa depending on what BHP wish to release. If no development on existing hole then just keep drilling until no more funds. Between that, Perkoa and lawyers for Flory's case, should get rid of shareholders funds in a couple of years.
All you need running AIM now is a lawyer.
Why not right Perkoa off as a deadduck and use the funds to aggressively explore the gold tenement and Mumbwa. Why in the hell spend money on something that over the next 2 to 3 years is as useless as .... on a bull and in the end have nothing at all to show.
Its like saying to a shopping centre owner that has just had a main highway redirected and all the shoppers have gone to a new centre. "Oh I will lock the doors on my centre but keep the care and maintenance up just in case they all come back one day. It will only cost me $35m and I really do hope they come back before my money runs out"
