    this is your input, it clearly that the whole equation has change from 8/2(2+2) to 8(2+2)/2

    when the original equation is written as 8/2(2+2)

    for the answer to be 16
    the equation would be written as (8/2)(2+2)
    but when it is 8/2(2+2) you can read it as you have 8 apples to share with 2 groups of kids where each group has two boys and two girls
    and clearly the answer is 1

    Also that a/b(c+d) and (a/b)(c+d) they are not the same
    a/b(c+d) = a/(bc+bd)

    and

    (a/b)(c+d) = ac/b + ad/c
