3- the world is running of Tier-1 resource oil discoveries if 88E strike a giant oil discovery the bigger players will come in and deploy capital which will lift the value of the assets and the share price
4- David wall departure isn't just a coincidence, how many times when a company get taking over the buyer will bring his own management team and get things done their way.Once they Announce who is the new MD we will have a clearer picture.
5- analysts are expecting a weaker USD due to the money printing during the pandemic which means
you need to pay more Dollars per barrel, more value for 88E?
6- the US is the biggest oil producer in the world, saudi arabia and russia will not increase production anytime soonlots of hot money will chase few barrels.
price will get jacked up.(inflation)caltex selling fuel at 1.63 litre? hmmm
7- trade war? china got to pay more for oil imports...
8- commodity super cycle talks? yes this year is the year of OIL.it will take everyone by surprise and will climb higher and higher just like iron ore and gold.Oil is one sector that didn't fully recover from COVID, yet.

personally i think selling for short term gain isn't investing, i am greedy cos i have enough reasons to make me believe that the price of oil will only grind higher from here and the returns will be higher.
