As for the women on that committe-what a waste of space.

SN-who I usually love- was not so good.He could not properly answer the straight forward question of whether the change would result in more gas for the WA market.
According to the committee the change needs to produce 7 times more gas to be able to give WA the same gas outcome as the status quo[7x 15].
Given the potential plant and the Beach/Mitsui plant obviously the change would produce about the same gas for WA usage.
SN eventually conceded that.
But it has a number of other advantages-it also allows for reduction in greenhouse gases for Japan/Korea as coal is substituted.
And would provide significant royalties for WA.
And provide jobs.
And attract capital- a point SN did make.
